Dr. Chris Rodriguez will conduct a thorough exam of your teeth and likely take x-rays to rule out the presence of tooth decay and gum disease. If we shift teeth with the presence of gum disease, it can cause problems such as loose teeth. He will also determine if your orthodontic issues can be addressed with Invisalign.
Impressions will be taken of your teeth and bite and sent to a dental lab that will use them to construct a mold of your trays. We are also able to digitally map out your entire orthodontic treatment from start to finish so you can see what the result will be.
After a few weeks, your trays will be ready and we will check that they fit properly. If you need Invisalign attachment, we will bond the composite resin to your teeth so they can apply extra pressure to certain teeth. They can be combined with elastics for jaw movement.
You will need to return to your Campbell dentist about every 6 weeks or so to check on your treatment progress. You can compare your real-world results to the digital mapping of your treatment so there are no surprises and you know what to expect. You will receive enough aligners to change them every 2 weeks.

After you have completed your treatment, your jaw will be in a vulnerable state and your teeth can begin to move back to their original position. You must wear a retainer after completing Invisalign so your teeth don’t shift back and ruin all of your progress.
